The first National Symposium on English Language Assessment was held on, 19, 21 and 23 March 2018, in Jakarta, Surabaya and Yogyakarta, respectively. The symposium brought together experts and practitioners to discuss challenges arising from current practices in the design and use of English language assessments for students in Indonesia and provided insights into English language assessment issues and trends in wider Asia. Over 220 people from 167 institutions all over Indonesia took part in the symposium.
